Pronouns: they/them

Life is a wild, joyous, frustrating, confounding thing, and I believe we are not meant to go it alone. We seek connection to understand ourselves as persons with complex lived experiences, persons in relationship with others, and persons existing within shared communities. And sometimes extra support is needed along the way.

Counseling is a unique, mutable space with the capacity to hold the hurt and grief just as much as it can celebrate pleasure and joy. I offer a collaborative, therapeutic relationship that honors your identities and incorporates your lived experiences and strengths into the growth you wish to create. Whether you come to counseling to feel more fulfillment, discover ways to heal and move forward, or process a particular part of life in a comfortable space, I am honored to be with you.

My approach...

I enter counseling from a place of empathy, compassion, curiosity, and humility and integrate them into my therapeutic style. My approach is largely relational and integrative, as each client’s needs are unique. I am inspired by existential, attachment, narrative, mindfulness, somatic, and systems (Internal Family, ecological, family) theoretical orientations.

I am dedicated to understanding and acknowledging privilege, power, and oppression by utilizing trauma-informed, multicultural, and social justice lenses. As a White, non-binary, queer, sex-positive, polyam- and kink-affirming counselor, I am interested in exploring how our authentic identities manifest in the counseling space.

Professional training & memberships...

I completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University, a CACREP-accredited program. Prior to my current educational journey, I received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Psychology from the University of Portland. I am a member of the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities, a division of the American Counseling Association for Queer and Trans Counselors, Ally Counselors, and Advocates. I am a certified facilitator for Our Whole Lives: Lifespan Sexuality Education, a sexuality education program that fosters informed, responsible, and values-based decisions about sexual health and behavior.

I am excited to enroll in an American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) certified program to obtain my Sex Therapy Certificate in Fall 2023. I enjoy attending trainings on trauma, sexuality, polyamory, and specific modalities to ensure I am as informed as possible in our therapeutic space.
