We all have stories full of complexity and emotion, and we all need collaborators in healing at one point or another. My journey to becoming a therapist stems from a deep interest in stories, art, and history. This has afforded me a strong sense of cultural humility and a need to examine social structures and systems of oppression. Curiosity and humor guides me in my life and work, and I’m proud of the ways I’ve learned to respond to life stressors from that vantage.
My goal in therapy is to create a space that is responsive to your needs. Above all, I want you to feel empowered in your own healing, with a compassionate and safe environment to explore your emotions and inner life. I’m deeply committed to acknowledging and honoring our differences, while continuing to learn and grow in awareness of my own biases. In that spirit, I aim to incorporate meaningful cultural and spiritual elements from your past or present that may support your growth and sense of identity. I understand the depth of connection that can come from working with a therapist who shares aspects of one’s identity, and I hope to support and nurture the parts of yours that are ready to flourish.
My approach...
I predominantly work with teens, adults and relationships navigating ADHD, Autism, and other forms of neurodivergence. I’m interested in supporting you through burnout, identity shifts, executive functioning challenges, or simply offering a safe space to talk through your feelings.
As a neurodivergent practitioner myself, I enjoy connecting and commiserating about the complexities of our experience. In our work together, you won’t be asked to shrink, simplify, mask, or justify who you are. In that same spirit of commiseration and community as a queer clinician, I have specific interest in supporting queer and trans folks. I’m enlivened when I’m supporting life transitions, utilizing current research as well as a variety of modalities including internal family systems (IFS), emotion focused therapy (EFT), as well as narrative and psychodynamic approaches. Together, I hope to help you build stronger connections to yourself and others, uncovering meaning in your experience through a safe and nurturing therapeutic relationship.
Sessions with me are designed to feel conversational, collaborative, and open-ended. I draw from approaches such as narrative therapy, parts work, and emotion-focused therapy to help clients explore their experiences and relationships with themselves. Somatic awareness practices are often incorporated to support this process and to help regulate stress responses. Emotional awareness and mindfulness are also central to my work, strengthening the connection between body and mind. I’m committed to staying engaged with current research and continually expanding my learning to support the people I work with.
Elsewhere in my work, I have experience working with individuals and partners in polyamorous or non-monogamous relationships. These relationships can be incredibly fulfilling, but they also come with their own unique challenges - communication, boundaries, as well as navigating stigma. Additionally, I have a deep interest and experience in supporting infidelity in monogamous as well as polyam dynamics. Being polyam myself, I deeply understand the need for reflection and understanding about that perspective. My approach is kink and sex affirming, and grounded in understanding that there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to love and connection.
