I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes in a client-focused, supportive approach to therapy, with an emphasis on individual growth and development.
My approach...
I am a trauma-informed practitioner using psychodynamic and client-centered approaches, with training in several therapeutic interventions, including Supportive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems.
I am passionate about using a sex positive framework to help clients with sex and intimacy issues (including polyamory), and feel liberated from shame. As a queer woman, working with LGBTQ+ clients is near and dear to my heart.
I am Safe Zone trained and affirming of all gender identities & expressions. I have experience in supporting the LGBTQIA2+ community and other communities of diverse relational norms and sexual preferences. I am familiar with the Science-Fiction, Historical Recreation, and gaming communities, as well as those who practice alternative spiritual traditions.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State, credential #LH61572610. I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Dawn Marie's fees:

50-minute session for individuals: $195

50-minute session for families: $195;

80-minute session for couples: $295.

*note: the first session (after the 20 minute intro) for couples is 2 hours long in order to do a "relationship inventory", a vital part of PACT therapy and is $375. We will discuss this in the intro session.
