Figuring out who you are and how you fit into the world around you can feel like a daunting task. Through our work together, I hope to help you in that. Come as you are, and let’s work together to figure out what “who you are” means to you. Working on who you are can look like: achieving a better understanding of yourself, identifying goals for what’s next, or (you fill in the blank).

My approach...

I believe that you are the expert on your life. I approach therapy from a whole-person perspective that empowers you to be the leader in your care.

My goal is to support you in becoming the person you want to be and finding alignment with who you want to be and how you show up in the world.

As a second generation Asian American woman, I understand the plethora of "should-be’s" or "supposed-to’s" that can accompany, or even dictate our lives because of the identities we hold. I strive to create a space where learning about yourself intersects with unlearning what the world around you has told you about yourself. You are not a product of societal norms, rather a collection of your lived experiences.

I believe therapy should be fun, not a chore or just another task on your to-do list. What that looks like is a collaborative effort that you get to lead, and a space where you can grant yourself permission to be unapologetically your whole and genuine self. To this I say, let’s go on an adventure together in your journey of self exploration. Along the way we can leave behind the things that no longer serve you and work towards picking up some of the things that interest you.

I draw on a variety of approaches and theories including: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychodynamic, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). In this approach I believe in working towards a greater understanding of self to allow for growth, healing, and an improved quality of life.

Professional training & memberships...

I have worked with children and adults across the whole lifespan in community agencies, state agencies, and inpatient and outpatient settings. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State, credential LW61471761. I hold a master’s in social work from the University of Washington with a concentration in mental health.
