Franky Llewaid, Clinical Intern

Pronouns: she/they

Dealing with life's challenges can be difficult, painful and confusing.  You don't have to go through it alone.  I offer a safe and non-judgemental space to explore relationships, emotions and life transitions. I believe our emotions are messages that can guide us to our deepest needs, wants and goals in life.  I would be honored to be a part of this journey with you.  Together we can navigate the ups and downs of life while strengthening your connection to your most authentic self.

My approach...

I am a heart and relationship centered counselor that acknowledges the impacts of structural and systemic harms.  I create a warm and compassionate space for you to explore, process and transform difficult emotions and challenges. I focus on strength and resource building through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and somatic practices.  I use parts work and art therapy to build emotional regulation skills and process difficult emotions. Ultimately, we will build on practices and skills that work best for you.  My goal is to create a collaborative space for you to heal, bloom and grow.

Professional training & memberships...

I am a first year student in the Masters of Arts Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Adams State University.  I have a background in education and the arts.  Prior to graduate school I ran an after school art program and worked in outdoor education from the North Cascades down to the Redwoods.  I am a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Franky does not accept commercial insurance, but IS able to take some Medicaid or Apple Health plans, such as CHPW and Coordinated Care. Kelly also sees clients on a sliding scale which will be agreed upon before meeting for a full session.
