Many of us are aligned with the desire to be connected, to feel seen, and to be understood in our life experiences. There is a chance you are wading through the weight of shame, stigma, or systems that have made you feel ostracized. I believe that therapy can be an opportunity to explore and reimagine other ways of being.

My approach...

I practice from a liberatory framework, using the principles of healing justice as a guide and pulling from relational, narrative, and multicultural frameworks. I will encourage us to explore the mind-body connection through somatic practices. Additionally, I'll incorporate elements of attachment theory, liberation psychology, and relational-cultural theory into my work. Together, we will find a rhythm that allows you to feel safe and affirmed in the therapeutic space. We will utilize curiosity and collaboration as foundational tools.

As a Black, queer, and trans therapist, I deeply understand the importance of sharing with someone that understands the inner workings of identity. My professional experience is focused on the healing experiences of queer and trans people of color, children of immigrants, and intergenerational healing in the Black community.

I emphasize bringing my authentic self to the space with the hope that you will do the same. I encourage humor, playfulness, curiosity, and compassion during our time together. I’m professionally trained in trauma-informed practices and I strive to explore trauma in a safe and grounded way.

You are an expert in your life experiences and I trust that you will share when you are the most comfortable and ready. I’m truly honored and grateful to share this space together and I look forward to being witness to your journey.

Professional training & memberships...

I’m an Associate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LSWAIC), SC61441321 in Washington State. I received my Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington. I hold a B.S. in Social Sciences from Portland State University.

I have professional experience in alternative education systems, community mental health, and a research background in epigenetics/intergenerational trauma. Additionally, I support the health and well-being of Black birthing parents/perinatal support as a certified labor and delivery doula.
