Life can be messy and challenging for individuals, relationships, and families. I recognize that during challenging or transitional moments it can be difficult to remain present and to see a way forward. I believe that through partnership and collaboration, therapy offers a powerful opportunity for exploration, healing, growth, and finding your path forward.
My focus in therapy is to work in collaboration with you to address the challenges and concerns that are impeding your life in some way. Through our work together, we will define your goals, address your concerns, and find what works best for you or your child, your relationship, or your family.
I am fluent in English and Spanish and offer bilingual services.
My approach...
I strive to bring compassion, empathy, and non-judgment to therapy room. I also find a lot of power and strength in creativity and play, and will integrate this into our work when appropriate.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and practice an integrative approach that includes emotionally focused therapy (EFT), narrative therapy, child-parent psychotherapy, play therapy, attachment-based family therapy, and structural therapy.
My approach is tailored to best meet your needs and address your concerns, and takes into account important cultural practices, social structure and systems, relationships, and beliefs and values that are significant to you.
Professional training & memberships...
I am a master’s level student enrolled in Antioch University Seattle’s Couple and Family Therapy program. Most of my coursework at Antioch involves relational and systemic theories, with additional coursework in emotionally focused therapy and play therapy. Prior to my current education and training, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.
