My approach...

Using a strengths-based and client-centered approach to therapy, I will assume that you are the expert on your life and experiences, as well as that of your child(ren). It is important to me that you feel supported and valued in the therapeutic process. I adjust my approach according to the needs and abilities of each client and use an integrative approach, drawing from child-centered play therapy, attachment-based family therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, somatic therapy and narrative therapy. I also like to incorporate art and movement whenever possible.

I believe that change is possible and that therapy can be a safe place to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while having the support to learn new adaptive coping strategies, improve relational experiences, and make progress toward your treatment goals.

I am trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and believe that children communicate and work through the act of playing, however, playing is not limited to children! Whether you are seeking support for your child or yourself, play therapy can be an effective way to improve relational experiences, gain confidence, build positive coping strategies and facilitate a better understanding of oneself.
