Rose Ibarra, Clinical Intern

Pronouns: she/her

I became a therapist to help children, families, and adults heal through a collaborative, holistic approach. I believe growth and recovery occur through meaningful connections, and I strive to support clients as they reconnect with their authentic inner selves and cultivate healthy, fulfilling relationships with others.

Our lives are filled with both profound joy and heartbreaking pain. My own journey has taught me that the most powerful turning point comes when we realize we don’t have to navigate these experiences alone.

My approach...

I work collaboratively with individuals and families to cope with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and more. I create space for you to process difficult experiences and use holistic approaches to explore various paths forward that align with your cultural identity and personal values.

I recognize traditional talk therapy is not the best approach for everyone, so I incorporate diverse therapeutic methods that rely less on verbal processing, including play therapy, art therapy, and sandtray therapy. I also integrate body-centered somatic practices to facilitate self-exploration, helping you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations influence one another. I also believe Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) can be very effective for clients seeking help with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. With your consent, we can weave DBT skills into our work together.

I am passionate about supporting children and families who have experienced trauma through individual and family therapy. Every healing journey is unique, so I customize my approach to fit your situation and partner with you to explore a diverse range of healing pathways.

I also specialize in supporting neurodivergent children. As a parent of neurodivergent kids, I view neurodiversity as a gift and empower individuals to unlock their natural strengths and thrive in a challenging world. Simultaneously, I partner with parents to help them understand their child's neurological processing and create a supportive
home environment.

As a cancer survivor, I understand how deeply physical illness impacts mental health. If you are facing a serious medical condition, I am here to help you navigate the heavy burden of diagnosis, pain, bodily changes, anxiety, and grief.
