Zoltan Wolfe, Clinical Intern

Pronouns: he/they

The therapy office is a place where you and I can come together to explore life’s complexities and tackle any mental health challenges that are unmanageable in your day-to-day life. I aim to create an inclusive space that is both safe for you to be yourself and secure enough to challenge yourself to grow in new ways. It is important to me that your therapy be conducted in an atmosphere of caring, respect, and commitment. I value a collaborative relationship where we can work together to find new ways of thinking and being. Above all, I believe in the capacity for all people to change and become the self that they wish to be, and I look forward to joining you on that journey.

I enjoy working with you to find techniques and interpretations that align with your needs and worldview. I enjoy learning new ways of being and thinking, and look forward to learning who you are and what works for you. I am passionate about working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including people from the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as both adolescents and adults. I can work with a variety of presenting concerns, such as depression, anxiety, relationship, and/or familial distress, gender exploration, and emotional regulation.

My approach...

I approach therapy as a deeply collaborative and intensive process. My approach to counseling is influenced by third-wave behavioral therapies, specifically Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). I prioritize a deeply person-centered and empathetic approach to all sessions with clients and further am influenced by Feminist and Multicultural Therapy. I am committed to honoring a client’s strengths, background, and life contexts.

Professional training & memberships...

I am a Masters of Education student at Seattle University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Before entering grad school, I completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Washington in Psychology with a minor in Political Science. I have experience working with marginalized communities through my employment at ROOTS Young Adult Shelter and Sound Mental Health. I am a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).
